Staying Well during Flu Season

Staying Healthy as Flu's and Colds are attacking many can be difficult if you are under a lot of stress and around many people who have become sick.
However, it is not necessarily impossible.
Some of the best ways I have found to work include: ensuring you don't have a Vitamin D deficiency. Your levels should be optimally between 50-80ng/ml. Get a blood test to determine this and then get a proper evaluation to determine the right amounts you should be taking to get you into the right levels. Retesting in 3 months is a good idea to ensure you are taking the right amount and achieving the optimal levels and avoiding toxicity.
In addition to proper vitamin D from supplements and/or sunshine, getting a good level of antioxidants will help your body fight off the viruses. Greens drinks will give you a high level of concentrated fruits and vegetables which contain high levels of antioxidants as well. I found taking these on a regular basis, usually 2-4 x per day, will help as well.
Chiropractic care is helpful in making sure your body is aligned, so the nerves that travel to your sinuses and lungs can help these areas function optimally. I have found this to help a lot.
Avoiding sugar as much as possible will help too. Just one teaspoon of sugar will depress your immune system for several hours after. Try a natural sweetener such as stevia to curb that sweet tooth. 
I have found whole food supplements to have a much better effect than synthetic, isolated, fractionated vitamins derived from coal tar. Believe it or not, the majority of vitamins on the shelves are synthetic.
Get enough sleep! This is most important for your immune system and overall well being. Take a bath or shower and let all your concerns, worries and any troubles go down the drain. Drink some warm milk with stevia or take a sleep and rest support supplement. Then unwind and get a good night of zzzz's. Be sure to be consistent with your bedtime and waking time to help your body function its best.
...and of course, wash your hands often, do not share food or drinks out of the same plate or cup and get fresh air.
